Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be shown to the Square Restaurant or hotel's Bistro for your afternoon tea, which will feature a selection of teas, sandwiches and various other sweet treats and snacks. The Rutland Arms has a long and impressive history, playing host to Turner, Byron, Coleridge and Wordsworth at one time or another during their visits to Chatsworth.Situated in the heart of the Peak District, the hotel is surrounded by breathtaking, unspoiled views of the British countryside, and is perfectly placed for hiking, cycling or fishing enthusiasts. If you wish to explore further afield during your afternoon, the incredible Chatsworth House is mere minutes away, a hugely impressive building, and the home of the Cavendish family since 1549. Haddon Hall is also a popular local destination, nestled amongst the spectacular scenery of the River Wye, and has been the setting for many BBC period dramas over the past few years, including their 1995 adaption of Pride & Prejudice.
