Extended Flying Lesson in Durham BOOKING FORM

This fantastic flying opportunity allows you to learn the basic skills required to fly a light aircraft. Your lesson will be taken by a qualified instructor who will discuss and demonstrate the principles and controls of the plane. Your instructor will take off and once in the air will practically demonstrate before handing control of the two seater aircraft to you. Enjoy the amazing views as you soar high above the ground and view the landscape from a brilliant perspective.

Day Schedule

On arrival to the flight training centre you will be greeted by your own pilot who will take you for your lesson. Firstly, there will be a short one to one briefing where the instructor will discuss and demonstrate the principles of flight and the controls of the plane. You will also plan the route that you will take during your flight. Then its time to jump into the driving seat, after your instructor has taken off and run through the controls of the cockpit and guided you through basic manoeuvres you are in complete control (under close dual control supervision) of the aircraft. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch you fly.

Terms and Conditions

Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. You are free to call and book your lesson with the flight training centre: when booking you must inform the centre if you are over 6'4 or 16 stone as an extra charge may be necessary if a bigger plane is required. Minimum age is 14 years old. Under 18s require a parent/guardian to join them on the day. It is essential that you become a temporary member of the air centre on the day, it is free of charge and it ensures you are covered by the centres' insurance. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check it is safe to fly.
