Introductory Flying Lesson in Devon BOOKING FORM

Have a truly memorable experience as you embark on your first flying lesson. The staff at the airfield are vibrant, friendly and CAA approved. This makes for a highly enjoyable lesson with a well-qualified, experienced instructor. You will take off from a location five minutes' flight from the breathtaking North Devon coast. You are sure to be amazed by the scenery and the incredible sensation of flight during your lesson.

Day Schedule

On arrival you will have a short briefing by an experienced, professional flying instructor. Then it's time to head to the aircraft! You will be sat in the 'driving seat' as the instructor performs pre-flight checks and taxis the plane to the runway for takeoff. Once airborne you will be taught basic manoeuvres and controls, following which you will be permitted to take complete command of the plane. The aircraft is fitted with dual controls so the instructor can assist whenever necessary. The experience will last for 30 minutes. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch you fly and take some pictures.

Terms and Conditions

Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. You are free to call and book a lesson with the airfield: when you book you must inform the centre if you are over 6'4 or over 16 stone as an extra charge may be necessary if a bigger plane is required. The minimum age is 14 years old: under 18s need a parent/guardian to join them on the day. It is essential that you become a temporary member of the air centre on the day - this is free of charge and ensures you are covered by the centre's insurance. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check it is safe to fly.
