Day Schedule
Your full day of zoo keeping starts early: from 8am you'll be given an induction and safety briefing by members of Dartmoor's helpful and knowledgeable staff. Between 8am and 10am you'll be accompanying one of the big cat team as they check in on the park's carnivores, including lions, tigers and jaguars, among others. After you've made the rounds, you'll be given a short break to catch your breath. From 10.30am until 11.30am you'll be visiting the bears and wolves at the park, and making sure they're all alright. Once you've been introduced to these awe-inspiring predators, it's almost time for lunch: 11.30am until 12.30pm is meat preparation time. With your feline friends' food all ready to go, you'll be treated to a delicious and refreshing meal yourself, courtesy of the park. Then comes the highlight of the day: feeding the big cats by hand! After you've made sure the lions and the tigers are properly satiated, there'll be time for photos and questions before your day finishes off at around 2.30pm.
