Many do not realise England produces its very own wine! Well, this is an ideal opportunity to find out about the English wine industry by enjoying a tour of one of England's finest vineyards followed by a tasting session and lunch.
On arrival you will be served tea or coffee and biscuits. Next you will be taken on a guided tour around the vines, where your tour guide will talk you through the method of growing vines. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions. Next it is on to the winery, where you will learn about the wine-making process. Finally it is on to the tasting room, where you will receive a tutored tasting of 5 wines. After this it is time for lunch, you will receive a sit-down buffet lunch of farmhouse pate, 3 English cheeses (Cheddar, Stilton, Cornish Brie) salads, grapes, pork pie, relish, crusty bread and butter accompanied by a glass of wine. In summer you have the chance to sit out on the patio and enjoy the warm weather! After lunch there will be plenty of time to browse the shop and buy some of the wines you have tasted.
You will need to have a general fitness as there is some walking involved.

To participate in this activity you must be at least 18 years old.
This experience is available on selected Monday to Sunday dates, throughout the year.
